an offer

Kris and I have been looking at a bunch of houses yesterday and found 3 that we really liked. Two were in brentwood and one was in franklin near where i work. One of the ones in brentwood stood out from the rest and we absolutely loved it. It was on the top of the hill and had a beautiful interior. Everything had been redone and it had the perfect living floorplan. The only problem with it was that it was on a hill… a steep one. But we didn’t let that get in the way. We talked about it and decided that we would go back the next night (visit a couple more) and put an offer on this house if we still liked it.

24 hours passed and kris and i got into the car to make our way up to brentwood. In the car we were talking about it and i said, “The more i think about it, the more i want that other one that was down the street not on the hill.” Kris said that she had been thinking that same thing. We planned to look at it again tonight too, so we said we would be extremely analytical about it and talk about it more. We visited both houses and decided that the perfect house on top of the hill just wasn’t for us.

The other house is pretty nice too. It has hardwood floors and tile in the kitchen, a perfect fenced back yard for gracie with an awesome screened porch area. It has very nice paint downstairs throughout the living areas. We just felt like it was a better fit for us, so much that we are putting in an offer on it this morning. Kris is dealing with our agent right now and hopefully we’ll hear back by tomorrow morning sometime. Pray for us please!
Here are some of the pictures of the house we are putting an offer on.

    Wow!
It looks great. You guys must be pretty excited about this… and a little nervous.
It’s great to here how you came about your decision. I was very curious why you hadn’t picked the better ‘designed’ house.
Hang in there o.k. Home purchases can be very trying and there a lot of details to get through before you finally get those keys.
Remember you are the buyers and you have the power, there is lots on the market if things don’t go the way you want.
    God Speed!
    Love Mom L

i think we are excited about the fact that with this house, we have just enough fun little projects (and money since it was less than the other) to get our hands dirty and make it “our own”…

the exterior living space of a home is almost as important as the inside for both of us, and that was what really made the light bulb go off on why to choose this one as opposed to the other…upgrades or not. : )

    yay!
