wil and kris (and gracie and ava)

Hello everyone!

i’ve got two orders of business here….

1. The gracie cam has been decommissioned until further notice. The software i was using to run it expired and i haven’t found a new piece that i like yet. Cheer up, though because once some new, free software can be found to suit… the gracie cam will be back in action!

2. Many of you know that kris and i bought a new computer, (much more to come on that soon!). This computer has a built in webcam that i have enjoyed using so far… and since i am taking so many pictures with it, I thought it would be fun to automatically export all those photos onto our website. So… under the webcams page, you can click on ‘notebook cam.’ This is a pretty simple photo gallery that displays the most recent photos taken by my webcam on my laptop. Whenever I take a new one, it will automatically upload and be displayed on that page. So, be sure to check back to see the latest images!

tomorrow i go in for my “pre-panel.” if i pass, i will move on to the actual panel where they will decide if i become an assistant manager or not.

*Update

I passed!  My actual panel is in 11 days… they will decide my fate as a manager in training (assistant manager).

It’s 66 degrees out right now… needless to say, i’m a happy camper!

snow is white, it’s soft, it’s pretty and it’s fun. but it’s also very stupid. this is like the 2nd or 3rd time we’ve had snow in the last couple weeks and i’m ready for it to STOP! life in tennessee seems to shut down with even a threat of snow. all of williamson county schools were cancelled on thursday because of a possible dusting. my goodness.

gracie on the other hand can’t stand the excitement of snow. she’s like the way i used to be- gleefully staring out the window in hopes for a trek through the white. but being the one who has to hold the leash out there, i’m the least bit excited when she won’t go to the bathroom because she’s too busy trying to eat every inch- for her, successfully keeping us out there longer than usual; for me, i’m shivering in my pj pants and sweatshirt, growing in annoyed-ness and embarrassment for why i can’t get my dog to just do her business.

give me snow in december, give me snow in january. but by february, if you’ve given me a few days of sun, you better keep up your end of the deal by continuing with the warmth and quit the snow! i am ready for spring.

another thing that’s stupid is that i am sniffling and sneezing again. i hate that i never seem to be well. i blame it on the perpetual chilliness.

what was not stupid though, was valentine’s day. since i worked all day and wil worked all night, we planned our festivities for the following evening…but i was still surprised to find on wednesday a scavenger hunt starting at the front door, leading me all through the house (with cookies and flowers in the middle), and then to starbucks to find not only wil awaiting me, but a new cd for me, hidden in the displays. (you’ll probably be hearing them on here soon) i was stupid once more and forgot that our valentine tradition was to get one another cd’s…i was too excited over my gift to wil…below. thursday we had a mediocre dinner, good wine, great desserts and great cocktails. a fun splurge.

seriously nothing has happened to wil or me recently. over the past few weeks (obvious due to the substance-free posts of pictures and videos) we’ve really gotten stuck in the hum drum of daily life. the gray rain dribbling down the window behind me definitely sums up my overall feelings of the boringness. i think i’ll just sit here and try to spice up my life by thinking of what’s new.

• new food: i tried a green olive for the first time. definitely tasted like an olive, but i don’t think i’ll be having any more of those any time soon.

…whoa…did i honestly just post about eating an olive? is this really what my life online has led to? take two:

• new hobby: to carve away the periods of boredom at night in a way besides watching tv or being on the computer, i’ve decided that i want to do something creative and different. so i’m thinking about knitting or crocheting. of course, i’ve thought about this for a couple weeks now and have yet to actively pursue this idea. we’ll see if it actually happens. anyone have any better suggestions?

• new exercise: i’ve been invited by a friend that wil works with (who by means of association is my friend now too) to come with her to an hip hop dance class in a weekend or so. i’m excited at getting out, dancing/exercising, and getting to know becca (the friend from work) a bit more.

• new tv: two of our many shows started back up- survivor and lost. while wil and i are both fairly disappointed with lost and will only keep watching because we have to, survivor looks like an entertaining and promising season. with one tribe in the lap of luxury (they even got a sofa!) and the other in the pits, we’ll see how the people fare.

• new friend: actually, this one is for gracie. saturday gracie got to meet “little gracie”, jeff’s fiance brook’s yorkie. the results-

this is so dumb…

right now, it is 52 degrees outside (according to weather.com)

it also lists the high for tomorrow at 39 degrees.  so, unless the temp drops 13 degrees in the next hour, weather.com is a conspiracy and shall never be trusted!
