before the storm

i realize it’s been quite some time since the last post, but i also realized that of the total of 4 readers of this site, i have been with 3 of you for the past week or so. why bother posting about something we’ve all been experiencing? well lucky for you, the single reader that’s left, this one’s all for you. a lot has happened, but unfortunately, not much blogworthy stuff has occurred. i will update anyways.

i am getting married in one week!!!! by next sunday, this crazy wedding planning ride will have ended and i will be wil’s wife. oh it’s so exciting; yes, for those of you acquaintances who often ask if i am excited…of course i am! who wouldn’t be! not only am i getting married, but i am marrying the greatest man ever.

with a wedding comes tons of planning. it’s been nonstop, but good. we’ve accomplished a lot, and there is still a lot to do as we approach the day. but my mom and i keep looking at one another thinking, “huh, we actually have a handle on this! are we missing something major?”

well, wil and i saw a few of our favorite shows say sayonara till next fall. here are my thoughts on our favorites…the office: i can’t believe jim had the guts to do that!!! can’t wait till i can watch a whole season next fall as wil and i only discovered the office a few months ago. survivor: so, terry is an animal and ought to have been in the final two, but hey, danielle did what she did. unfortunately, aras was my last pick of the final three. grey’s anatomy: love the show overall, but was somewhat disappointed with the finale. a prom in a hospital? meredith and mcdreamy, again? and izzy’s psycho attempt at helping denny? i was actually relieved that denny died…never got into his storyline to begin with.

my sister dena and the two kids arrived yesterday. i forgot how much i love my little munchkins. i can’t wait to see the two others when my brother and his wife come down. i can never get enough of any of them. also, it will be great having dena here the whole week before the wedding to help out, keep me on track, and just be someone girly to giggle with along the way.

well, it’s raining outside. and it’s gray. and dreary. i am worried and nervous about the weather, but i guess i just have to wait it out until it’s closer to the big day…when a storm of a completely different kind rolls in.
